SAINT GABRIEL TECHNICAL COLLEGE

The Saint Gabriel Technical College has been created in 1974 by the Diocèse of Port Louis to cater for the development plans of Mauritius and whose slogan is “ Train, Qualify, Educate”.  If formerly the College recruted young boys who abandoned their academic education at the end of the Form IV, today some students are also holders of the School Certificate and the College also admits girls.

The College forms part of the SEDET – Diocesan Service for Technical Education, whic is under the responsibility of the BEC – Bureau d`Education Technique.

The College is registered with the « Mauritius Qualifications Authority” – MQA since 1990.  This para-statal body is responsible for all regulations with respect to training centres in Mauritius.

A Board of Governors defines the main vocational trends of the College.
